Te Ataarangi Regional Boundaries
1. Te Tai Tokerau This region extends from Te Reinga in the far north to Wakapirau in the south.
2. Tamaki Makaurau This region extends from Wakapirau in the north to Pokeno just south of Auckland.
3. Tainui This region extends from South Auckland across to Hauraki, inland to Mangatoatoa, down to Mokau in the south, and across to the King Country, including part of Taumarunui.
4. Taranaki This region extends from Mokau through to New Plymouth and extends as far south as Waitotara.
5. Wanganui From Taumarunui to the mouth of the Whanganui river, across to Ohakune and including the Waiouru region.
6. Te Waiariki From Katikati on the northern boundary to Te Kaha in the south, across to Ruatahuna, on to Turangi and taking in the Rotorua region, you will find yourself in the Te Ataarangi ki Te Waiariki region.
7. Te Tai Rawhiti From Lottin Point on the northern boundary of the East Coast, through to Napier / Hastings, and on to Dannevirk.
8. Te Upoko-o-Te-Ika From the capital region, Wellington, through to Palmerston North / Manawatu, including the Wairarapa region up to Dannevirk.
9. Te Tauihu o Te Waka Encompassing the Nelson / Marlborough region and across to Kaikoura.
10. Te Waipounamu From Kaikoura, across to the West Coast, Greymouth, Hokitika, Christchurch and further south to Murihiku, across to Stewart Island.
